The accurate possible list of Amakhosi players who are expected to leave Kaizer Chiefs FC at the end of the current season, has finally been revealed.
According to the local publication’s article on The South African, that highlights a significant potential renovation in Kaizer Chiefs’ squad. The full list of players likely to exit includes:
1. Itumeleng Khune.
2. S’fiso Hlanti.
3. Happy Mashiane.
4. Siyethembe Sithebe.
5. Sabelo Radebe.
6. Tebogo Potsane.
7. Wandile Duba.
8. Jasond Gonzalez.
9. Christian Saile.
Itumeleng Khune faces contract uncertainties and a suspension from club activities, affecting his future. Hlanti seems set to leave, with plans for his replacement already in motion.
Mashiane, Sithebe, and Radebe are down the pecking order and may seek opportunities elsewhere via loans for regular playtime.
Additionally, Duba could be loaned for experience but remains in the club’s future plans.
Potsane and Gonzalez signed recently, haven’t met expectations, and might depart if the new coach doesn’t view them in the long-term plans.
Saile’s potential departure depends on the club’s pursuit of a new striker and the return of Ashley Du Preez.
All above players might leave Kaizer Chiefs FC and make a way for new players that will be signed by Amakhosi management next year, in June.
In other news, it has finally been confirmed by Kaizer Chiefs FC officials on how Chiefs will approach the upcoming transfer period.
In January, there will be a mid transfer period, where by football clubs will be able to sign new players of their choices, to strengthen their squad. However, Kaizer Chiefs FC current interim coach Cavin Johnson, has revealed and confirmed how his side will approach the next mid transfer period.
Kaizer Chiefs FC fans want Chiefs management to sign new faces, especially to sign a new goalkeeper, a left back and a quality winger. However, Johnson confirmed that he will not sign any new player in January. His reason is that, he can’t say he already saw that his squad is lacking. So he feels that, he is yet to see where his players need reinforcement.
Most Amakhosi fans who already saw this comment from Johnson, are not happy at all, some of them are even fuming. They believe Chiefs need new players as soon as now, some even call him a plumber, while some thinks he is captured by Chiefs management.
Apart from that, the game that was against Kaizer Chiefs FC and Richards Bay FC on the previous weekend, where by Amakhosi won 1-0 has been analysed by Junior Khanye.
The former Kaizer Chiefs FC attacker and current IdisKi TV analyst Junior Khanye, has shared his thoughts over the mentioned clash. In as much as most of Amakhosi fans are happy over the win, Khanye congratulated Chiefs for winning, even though he said there are more things that must be fixed. He believe Cavin substitutes, were poor, especially by putting Nkosingphile Ngcobo off the bench. He said he was supposed to sub Yusuf Mart for Samkelo Zwane, then post Edson Castillo, Samkelo Zwane and Nkosingphile Ngcobo as the midfielders.
Khanye says one of Chiefs problems, is that between Edson Castillo and Yusuf Mart, no one is clear on who play as a holding number six. He says that issue must be addressed, on who must stay especially in the absence of former Stellenbosch FC midfielder Sibongiseni Mthethwa.
Junior Khanye also said Christian Saile must play more centrally than playing as a winger. The former Amakhosi winger also say he doesn’t understand why Jasond Gonzalez started ahead of Ashely Du Preez. He agreed that Du Preez was from injury, but he says the unfit Ashely Du Preez is better than Gonzalez.
